Welcome to another exciting school year in the Needville Blue Jay Band!
The Needville Band Boosters are a partnership of band parents and faculty dedicated to supporting music education at Needville’s Middle, Junior High and High Schools. The organization provides funding and behind-the-scenes labor required to make all of our bands successful. The Club raises money for all band members to support programs such as trips, extra equipment, senior and band-camp scholarships, the annual band banquet and many other endeavors.
We encourage every band students’ parents to attend the monthly meeting. If you are not a booster member, the fee is $5.00 a year per parent or $30.00 per parent for a life-time membership which is good for all of your children wishing to enter band each year. Our meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the high school band hall. This is your opportunity to discuss the current happenings with the bands at all campuses and to learn of future activities. There are quiet a few benefits from being a band booster member.
Learning through music has proven to be directly linked to increased academic performance. Colleges, teachers and parents realize good musicians have discipline, are hard working and engage in complex problem solving skills and make good students. Please join us and together we can support our band students to succeed in music.
