Mike Raska

Mike Raska is vice-president of Bayou City Reporting, Inc., a freelance court reporting firm which handles depositions, legal videography and procurement of all types of records for litigation purposes.

He and his wife Kalynn are both graduates of Needville High School. Their son Cameron has graduated from NISD, and is now attending Texas State University, and their son Cullen and daughter Chelsea are currently students at NISD.

Mike has coached Little League and YMCA football, served on the Needville City Council, Needville Harvest Festival, Inc., along with other organizations, and has been on the NISD Board of Trustees since 2001.

"Giving back to one's community is something everyone should try to do and thank you for allowing me to do that by serving on the Board of Trustees. It is a privilege and honor to be associated with such a great group of students, teachers and administrators. We expect great things of our students, and they continue to respond to that. While on the board, I will continue to do my part in giving them the tools to make that possible."

Joseph Anderson

Joseph graduated from Lamar CISD and Wharton County Junior College. Joseph is married to Melissa and they have four children: Amanda, Lauren, Joseph Jr. and Blake. Joseph is a heavy equipment operator for Fort Bend County. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Joseph has served on the Board since 2003. He believes that the best education we can give our children is our number one priority as well as upholding our district to a high standard. Being involved in the community is another important part of his life. These involvements include: Needville Youth Fair board member, Fort Bend County Fair life member and a member of the livestock committee, Needville FFA Honorary Member, Booster Club member, PTA member, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7067.

Chris Janicek

SOME OF THE GOALS I/WE WILL STIVE TOWARDS:
Utilize the tax dollar the most productive and efficient way for each student to meet that students needs in education
Strive to see building projects and renovations meet projected budgets and completion dates
Strive to see that the classroom teacher’s salary is adequate and competitive with local districts and in the state
Strive to keep academics superior and offer positive academic extra-curricular activities and programs
Strive to strengthen the link between the school district and increase student involvement with local community organizations

Mark Wendt

Mark attended Needville High School and graduated in 1979. He is married to Sandra Ognoskie Wendt who is a member of the graduating Class of 1980 of Needville High School. Sandra is an accounting clerk for the Fort Bend Treasurer's Office. Mark and Sandra have three children: Caleb, age 18, is a senior at Needville High School; Whitney, age 16, is a sophomore at Needville High School; and Demi is a 7th grader at Needville Junior High. After graduation Mark became a farmer in the Needville area and currently farms 1300 acres of cotton, corn, and milo.

Mark was elected to the board in 2003. He states, "Being a Needville graduate myself, I wanted to be a part of keeping the high standards that the school has always upheld."

In addition to being a member of the NISD school board, Mark also serves as financial secretary for his church council. He is a member of the Board of South Texas Cotton and Grain as well as a member of the action committee for Boll Weevil Eradication (Upper Gulf Coast Zone).
