A message from the National Parent Teacher Association…
Today more than ever, schools are challenged to provide every child with the best education. Budgets are tight while government requirements are growing. Schools are challenged to do more with less. More than 30 years of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and in school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve.
The PTA addresses issues that are important to public school administrators, teachers, and parents – full funding, quality teachers, and capabilities for schools to thrive. It organizes hard-working and dedicated volunteers in order to provide resources and programs for students and teachers. It also organizes fundraising events so that proceeds can provide support for school-based programs, building maintenance and improvements, educational events, and social events.
As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, the PTA reminds our country of its obligations to children.
